After becoming a father at the age of 15, now he has become the youngest grandfather. 14 years ago Shem Davies who is now 29 went to the hospital to see his now 14 years old daughter Tia born to this world. Then, this year he also rushed to the hospital again but this time to see Tia gave birth to her newly born daughter Gracie. Responding to the new born baby, Davies said he is “incredibly proud” of his daughter.
When the newly grandfather stepped into the hospital to see his grandchild, the nurses at the maternity ward could only be stunned at Gracie’s grandfather who had to show his ID to prove that he was in fact 29 years old. The fresh face granpa walk into the rooms and told to her daughter and everyone that “she will be a brilliant mum.”
Tia gave birth before her 15th birthday and celebrated in the hospital and told that Gracie is the best birthday present. The baby was born premature. The seven week premature baby was caused by Tia’s Pre-Eclampsia that had been diagnosed by the doctor.
“At first I wasn’t overly pleased that she was pregnant but I soon got over that. Now it’s all about being positive,” Tia said. “The condition, which often leaves expectant mothers with high blood pressure and protein in their urine, could lead to life-threatening symptoms for both mother and baby,” she added. Tia revealed that the contrast between the carefree fun of the school playground and then the fear of death for her and the baby was something she would never forget.
Tia who has been dating Jordan, Gracie’s father, for 18 month is planning to be a hairdresser. Gracie will be staying at Tia’s mother 30 years old Kelly John, a former girlfriend of Davies. while Tia will finish her school.
