ஈராக்கில் தீவிரவாதிகள் தற்கொலை

ஈராக்கில் பாக்தாத்துக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக பெரிய நகராக திக்ரித் திகழ்கிறது. நேற்று காலை அங்குள்ள ஒரு அரசு அலுவலகத்திற்குள் துப்பாக்கிகள் ஏந்திய தற்கொலை தீவிரவாதிகள் புகுந்தனர். அவர்கள் அங்கு பாதுகாப்பு பணியில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த ராணு வத்தினர் மீது சரமாரியாக துப்பாக்கியால் சுட்டனர்.

தகவல் அறிந்ததும் அப்பகுதி போலீசார் விரைந்து சென்றனர்.அதற்குள் அரசு அலுவலகத்துக்குள் புகுந்த தற்கொலை தீவிரவாதி வருகன்கான் உடலில் கட்டியிருந்த வெடி குண்டை வெடிக்க செய்தான். இதனால் அந்த கட்டிடம் இடிந்தது.

அதேவேளையில், அங்கு வந்த போலீசாரின் வாகனத்தில் குண்டு வெடித்தது. இதனால் அங்கு பதட்டமும், பரபரப்பும் ஏற்பட்டது.இந்த தாக்குதலில் 41 பேர் அதே இடத்தில் உடல் சிதறி உயிரிழந்தனர். 95 பேர் படுகாயம் அடைந்தனர். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு சிகிச்சை பெற்றனர். 

The security forces in Salahuddin are nothing; they do nothing,” said Iskandar Witwit, a member of Parliament’s security committee and Iraqiya, the political bloc that won the most seats in last year’s election but was unable to form a governing coalition.
Accounts of the attack’s toll varied. State television reported that 67 had been killed and 93 wounded; the Interior Ministry reported 45 killed. Final figures will probably not be known until Wednesday or later. Confirmed among the dead were two Iraqi journalists, one working for a newspaper in Tikrit and one working for Reuters and other news organizations, including Al Arabiya, a pan-Arab satellite television channel. Three provincial council members who had been taken hostage were also killed.
