விமான நிலையத்தில் சூட்கேஸ்களில் புலி குட்டிகளை கடத்திய பயணி

United Arab Emirates Citizen Arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport For Attempted Animals Smuggling: 

Thailand : Different international news reported that a 36-year-old, United Arab Emirates (UAE) citizen, was detained in Suvarnabhumi, Thailand airport on Thursday night, May 12,2011, for trying to smuggle live rare animals out of Thailand.

Steven Galster, director of FREELAND, who was present during the bust, said that there were two leopards, two panthers, an Asiatic black bear and two macaque monkeys, all about the size of puppies. Animals were sedated and placed in a suitcase and others were placed inside canisters with air holes.
The animals were headed to Dubai.

The man, who tried to smuggle the animals, was waiting to check-in in his flight as first class passenger, when anti-trafficking officers, who have been monitoring all his moves since his black market purchase of the rare and endangered animals, apprehended him.

Officials said that the animals were about 2-3 months old and were estimated to have a total worth around 420,000 baht ($14,000).

தாய்லாந்து நாட்டின் தலைநகர் பாங்காங்கில் உள்ள சர்வதேச விமான நிலையத்தில் இருந்து துபாய் செல்ல விமானம் தயாராக இருந்தது. அதில் செல்ல இருந்த பயணிகளை விமான நிலைய அதிகாரிகள் சோதனையிட்டனர்.

அப்போது முதல் வகுப்பில் செல்ல முன்பதிவு செய்து இருந்த பயணி ஒருவரின் சூட்கேஸ்களை சோதனையிட்டபோது அதில் புலிக்குட்டிகளும், சிறுத்தை குட்டிகளும் இருந்தன.

இதைப்பார்த்து விமான நிலைய அதிகாரிகள் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்தனர். அந்தப் பயணி புலிக்குட்டிகளை தாய்லாந்தில் இருந்து துபாய்க்கு கடத்தி செல்ல இருந்ததாக தெரிவித்தார்.

இதையடுத்து அந்தப் பயணியை கைது செய்தனர். கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட புலிக்குட்டிகளை மிருகக்காட்சி சாலைக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தனர்.
